Daniel Garcia,
Administration & Communications Coordinator

Daniel Garcia, spent his formative years throughout South Monterey County. While pursuing his education at Monterey Peninsula College, Daniel, a recipient of the Evans College Incentive Program Scholarship, delved into Non-Profit work. His academic focus spanned Business Administration, Economics, and Analytical Thinking. During this time, he seized the opportunity to intern with the MPC Foundation, contributing to the organization’s mission of providing scholarships for students, akin to his own journey, to access higher education.

Subsequently, Daniel’s academic journey led him to the University of California, Santa Cruz, where he earned a full-ride scholarship, the Karl S. Pister scholarship. Here, he pursued Business Management Economics and recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree. Post-graduation, Daniel embarked on a career with the Hospice Giving Foundation, assuming the role of Communications and Administration Coordinator.

“I chose to join Hospice Giving Foundation because of the profound difference they make in the community. Every day, I am inspired by the resilience and strength of the individuals served by Hospice Giving Foundation. Being part of an organization that prioritizes empathy, dignity, and holistic well-being in the face of life’s most challenging moments is not just a job for me; it’s a meaningful and fulfilling commitment. Having recently lost my grandfather and uncle, I’ve seen just how impactful having conversations about death and grief can be.”
