Some of her notable professional accomplishments include projects that promote women in science and mathematics, scholarships addressing racial and social inequities in education, and a tuition-free study abroad program for high school students. Erin is also grateful for her tenure on the CASA Board of Monterey County, where she served as a voice and supporter for youth in foster care, alongside Siobhan Greene.

Erin eagerly anticipates applying her experience, strategic vision, and strong work ethic to the field of end-of-life care. She earned her B.A. in Philosophy and History from Loyola University Maryland, maintaining a commitment to exploring issues of meaning and purpose in our lives, as well as facilitating difficult conversations that lead to greater truth, compassion, and personal growth.

In her leisure time, Erin enjoys engaging in activities with her two active sons, cooking, traveling, reading, and taking long walks throughout the diverse landscapes of Monterey County.

“I’ve long been fascinated by the etymology of the word ‘compassion’ derived from its Latin root, meaning ‘to suffer with.’ The Hospice Giving Foundation has a vision to change the conversation about death and dying in our community and culture, embodying a direct call ‘to suffer with’–to see those experiencing loss, bereavement, grief, and pain, universal experiences shared by all human beings. These are experiences many of us navigate in life’s darkest shadows and corners, sometimes alone. I’m honored to be part of an organization that offers a beacon of light in those moments: one that extends its hand in guidance, care, support, and love, and one that is here for you.”
