“My father passed away suddenly when I was 11; there was no time for Hospice care. Almost 20 years later, my brother became ill with an aggressive type of leukemia. Not long after, he lost his battle with leukemia. With thanks to hospice, he was able to be home with his family where he passed peacefully and with the added comfort & support that hospice provided for my brother and our family. My mother is now 90 years old and happily lives in Carmel. I feel especially compassionate towards my mother and her close friends as they’ve gotten older, along with the many challenges that our aging parents and their friends are faced with. Everyone should be entitled to the gift of compassionate end-of-life care, and I would be eternally grateful to help in every way for those in need.”
