Yvonne Thomas

Yvonne was born in Fort Ord, raised in Seaside, and is a graduate of Seaside High School. She was the first African American student at the University of Southern California to graduate with a B.A. degree in Sports Information-Broadcast Journalism. Yvonne is a veteran sports journalist, media professional, and the founder and CEO of both Precision Creative Services and YGolf Magazine, and she is the immediate past President of the NAACP Monterey County branch. Yvonne currently is the Host and Executive Producer of Central Coast Conversations with Yvonne Thomas Podcast.

Yvonne serves on the NAACP Monterey County’s Executive committee, and she is the Chairman of the branch’s Communications/Press and Publicity committee. She is the Vice Chairman of the City of Seaside’s Community Safety Advisory Commission, the Co-Chairman of the Monterey County District Attorney’s Multi-Cultural Council, and she serves on the Board of Directors of The Salvation Army Monterey Corps, and the United Way of Monterey County.

Yvonne is also a professional golf writer and audio book narrator. She loves to golf, and she also enjoys reading and walking around the beautiful Monterey Peninsula coastline in her free time. She has an extensive background in public speaking and has been a featured speaker, moderator, and emcee at numerous events throughout the state of California.

Yvonne is excited to be a new board member of such a necessary and worthwhile organization. She says that one of her favorite memories of 2022 was modeling in the Hospice Giving Foundation’s Fashion + Compassion Fashion show, and she hopes to utilize her skills to help this organization fulfill its vision and mission.
