Laura Hamill, Administrative Assistant

Laura brings over 40 years of experience as an executive assistant in both high tech and ag tech industries. In 2024, she had the privilege of working for her first non-profit at the Community Foundation for Monterey County for ten months, filling in during a staff member’s leave. Shortly after completing that assignment, she was excited to see an opening at Hospice Giving Foundation—a mission that resonates deeply with her.

Her personal journey with hospice care began 22 years ago, when her husband passed away. Thanks to the compassion and dedication of many, she was gifted a few precious weeks to say goodbye with grace and love. That experience left a lasting impact, and she’s honored to now be part of a team committed to providing that same support to others.

Laura’s hobbies are botanical art and writing books. One quote she lives by is her daily mantra: “To be the best human being I can be every day.”
