With gratitude for the ongoing support that makes our work possible, thank you to each of our donors who attended our annual Gratitude Luncheon. Each year, we host the Gratitude Luncheon, free of charge, to our donors who provide us with meaningful support. This year, we had the pleasure to have a presentation by Dr. Jessica Nutik Zitter, MD on the topic of family caregiving, rich with stories from her practice as an ICU and Palliative Care physician. Dr. Jessica Nutik Zitter is a Critical and Palliative Care Physician, author of Extreme Measures: Finding a Better Path to the End of Life, and filmmaker of Oscar-nominated Extremis (Netflix) and Caregiver: A Love Story. We also had the opportunity to view a clip from Dr. Zitter’s upcoming film, The Chaplain of Oakland, which “tells the story of two charismatic and powerful women: a deeply community-rooted Black chaplain and a fiery, accomplished Jewish doctor.” To learn more about Dr. Zitter’s films, please visit her website here.
In addition to the presentation, our current President and CEO, Siobhan Greene, announced our incoming President and CEO, Erin White, who will start her tenure on April 1st. This exciting announcement comes after months of planning and recruitment efforts from our Search Committee, created by our Board of Directors, as well as our search firm, Cook Silverman. We are thrilled to be welcoming Erin White to the team!
