WORKSHOPS
Advance planning is about more than healthcare. It’s about letting the people you love know your wishes, empowering them to be confident when the time comes to help, and bringing peace of mind to everyone involved. It’s about taking the time to consider what’s most important to you and understanding your options. It’s about taking care of the people we’ll leave behind, and making sure that lasting memories are filled with love. HG Foundation hosts free online workshops to guide individuals and give families peace of mind and confidence by being prepared.
FACING SERIOUS ILLNESSES:
WHAT THE TREATMENT OPTIONS MEAN AND HOW TO MAKE THOSE DECISIONS
Making decisions about the healthcare of our loved ones when facing a serious illness or nearing the end of life can be challenging. Planning for healthcare in advance allows individuals to consider important issues and be aware of medical treatment options they can choose to receive or decline.
In this interactive session, you will learn about cardiopulmonary resuscitation, comfort-focused treatments, antibiotics, intravenous fluids, and artificial nutrition/tube feeding.
