Sarah Hills, Vice-Chair
Sarah Lindsay Hills was born in Paris, France and moved to Rome, Italy, where she lived for 21 years before relocating to Washington DC. She has a bachelor of arts from Connecticut College and a culinary degree with highest honors from L’Academie de Cuisine. Past experiences include retail sales, hospitality leadership, and small business owner of Shortspoon Catering.
“I am humbled and honored to serve on the board of Hospice Giving Foundation. My mother passed away last year, after a courageous three and a half month battle against cancer. Her final 5 days of life were in hospice. Hospice facilitated this transition and more importantly, returned to her, a sense of peace and dignity, both of which had been taken away from her during her fight with cancer. These fundamentals, along with the care my mother and our family received, made for an easier grieving process. Everyone should have the ability to have compassionate end-of-life care and if I can help towards this mission, I would be ever so grateful.”
