Past experiences include retail sales and marketing, hospitality leadership, and small business owner of Shortspoon Catering. In addition to serving on the HGF Board, she also serves on the board for Christ Child Society of Monterey Bay. “I deeply value my experience on the board of Hospice Giving Foundation and am honored to be Chair of the Board these past two years. My mother passed away a few years ago, after a courageous three and a half month battle against cancer. Her final five days of life were in hospice. Hospice facilitated this transition and more importantly, returned to her, a sense of peace and dignity, both of which had been taken away from her during her fight with cancer. These fundamentals, along with the care my mother and our family received, made for an easier grieving process. Everyone should have the ability to have compassionate end-of-life care and if I can help towards this mission, I would be ever so grateful.”
