From 2020-2025, Hospice Giving Foundation was proud to host Salinas' Día de los Muertos celebration in partnership with Hartnell College, bringing our community together each fall for a procession, ofrendas, and an evening of remembrance, culture, and connection. In May 2025, Hospice Giving Foundation partnered with CSU Monterey Bay and the Shiley Haynes Institute for Palliative Care to host a community screening of The Last Ecstatic Days — a powerful PBS documentary exploring one man’s final weeks of life and the compassionate care that surrounded him.
