“When I first considered joining the Hospice Giving Foundation team I thought of both my parents. While they had good care in a nice, well run nursing home on the East Coast they were not given hospice care and we didn’t know how to ask for it. Neither my parents nor my brothers and sisters and I had that critical support we needed to work through the decisions and process our grief. To think I might be able to help make those services more available to people in my community means a great deal to me. In many ways I do this work in memory of my parents.”
